Religious Education

At St Columba’s, as part of the Diocese of Hexham and Newcastle, we fulfil the RED requirements by teaching 'The Way: To Know You More Clearly'.

Learning is sequenced through four lens: Hear, Believe, Celebrate and Live.

Throughout the year, each class follows six branches of learning:

• Creation and Covenant

• Prophecy and Promise

• Galilee to Jerusalem

• Desert to Garden

• To the Ends of the Earth

• Dialogue and Encounter

As a Catholic school, a minimum 10% of our weekly timetable is dedicated to Religious Education teaching.
