ADMISSIONS TO RECEPTION

As a Catholic Primary School, our admissions criteria are set by the Diocese of Hexham and Newcastle and approved by our Local Governing Body. Full details of the criteria can be found in our Admissions Policy.
We kindly ask parents to pay close attention to the specific admission categories outlined in the policy, as these determine priority for places at our school.

In accordance with the School Admission Appeals Code, North Tyneside Council (as the admission authority for community schools) is responsible for setting a clear timetable for organising and hearing appeals.
ADMISSIONS TO NURSERY
St. Columba’s Catholic Primary School offers up to 26 places in our Nursery. Children attend morning sessions, Monday to Friday. Each session lasts 3 hours, totalling 15 hours per week.
We are also able to offer 30-hour places for families who are eligible.
Applications for Nursery places should be made directly to the school.

A place in St. Columba’s Nursery does not guarantee a place in St. Columba’s Catholic Primary School Reception. Reception admissions are handled separately and follow the school's official admissions policy as outlined above.
ADMISSIONS TO SECONDARY SCHOOL
Our feeder secondary school is St. Thomas More RC Academy, located in North Shields.
