WELCOME FROM OUR HEADTEACHER
MRS R STEINMETZ
Welcome to St. Columba’s Catholic Primary School
At St. Columba’s, every member of our school family is valued and cherished. We are proud to be a welcoming, inclusive community where families from all backgrounds and faiths are embraced and respected.
Our children are at the heart of everything we do. We strive to provide a safe, nurturing environment where they can learn, grow, and thrive together. We teach our pupils that “At St. Columba’s, we all BELONG” – Believe, Empower, Learn, take Ownership, Navigate, and Grow.
We are proud to serve the parish of Our Lady and St. Columba, within the Diocese of Hexham and Newcastle, and to be part of the Bishop Bewick Catholic Education Trust.
We hope you find our website helpful and informative. If you would like to visit the school or have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us by phone or email – we would be delighted to welcome you.

MISSION STATEMENT
LEARNING, LOVING & RESPECTING, WITH GOD IN OUR HEARTS
At St. Columba’s Catholic Primary School, we strive to follow the example of Jesus Christ by living lives of love, respect, and forgiveness.
We believe that every member of our school community – children, parents, and staff – is unique, valued, and supported. Together, we create a nurturing environment where all can flourish.
Our aim is to provide a high-quality, balanced, and challenging curriculum that supports the intellectual, spiritual, moral, and social development of every child.
We celebrate the individuality of each person in our care and work together to build a strong sense of self-worth, confidence, and belonging in all members of our school family.
