A truly wonderful week was had by twenty-two intrepid adventurers when we visited High Borrans this week for the Y6 residential. Activities were many and varied: mountain climbing, canoeing, orienteering, ghyll scrambling, caving, team building, toasting marshmallows over a camp fire, making Christmas decorations – the lot! The children overcame every obstacle with bravery and courage and it was generally agreed that the two most difficult challenges were tying your own laces and making your bed.
It was a week filled with laughter and it was heart-warming to see the huge amount of co-operation, teamwork, encouragement and support that the children offered each other.
Thanks to all staff members who made this week possible by giving up so much of their own free time. If any parents would like a copy of all 500+ photos that were taken, please send in a memory stick next week and I’ll drop them on that.
