In Y4, we have been investigating the angles in triangles. After lots of practice measuring angles with a protractor, measuring lengths of sides of shapes in cm/mm, and using a template to build our own pyramids, we used all of this maths knowledge and skill to make our own pyramid nets from scratch. We had to draw out squares, making sure that each side was equal in measurement, and that each vertex was 90 degrees! Then we measured our own angles in the triangles, checking that all three angles added up to 180 degrees… We used this triangle as a template to add triangle sides to the square. When we had built our pyramids, we even added detail to the insides! Wow – look at all the mathematical skills we are putting into practice here!
