School Uniform

School Uniform

All children from Nursery up to Year 6 should wear the correct school uniform. Please view the image below or download our uniform guide by clicking this link: St. Columba’s Uniform September 2023

We do not require that any items of uniform are embroidered with the school logo.

If parents wish to, they can have polo t-shirts, sweatshirts and cardigans embroidered with the school logo from Emblematic on the North Tyneside industrial estate, Longbenton (opposite Asda):

Jewellery and Hair Accessories

A small, plain wrist watch is the only permitted item of jewellery. This should be removed for all P.E. lessons and activities. Please note that smart watches, including FitBits, are not permitted.

No necklaces, earrings or inappropriate hair accessories are to be worn.

If your child wishes to have their ears pierced, they must be able to independently remove their earrings at the start of the school day or need to wear flat plastic retainers. These can be purchased from the school office or a high street retailer.

Children are not to wear make-up including lip gloss, nail varnish or transfer tattoos for school.  If such items have been forgotten to be removed, make-up wipes and nail varnish pads for sensitive skin will be available from the school office.  Your child will be asked to remove their make-up, nail varnish or tattoo.

Vaseline and Chapstick, however, is permitted for dry chapped lips, especially in winter weather.

Standard School Procedures

Children must be at school by 8.55am each day, this is the time when morning registration will be taken.

At 9.00am all gates will be closed and any children that are late must come through the main entrance door and a late mark will be given against children’s attendance.
