It feels like a very long time since our parents / carers were able to ‘Stay and Play’ at Nursery. Last week, we divided the class into two groups and held two separate sessions. The aim of the ‘Stay and Play’ model is to work with children and families to encourage them to play and learn together to improve attachments, strengthen bonds and children’s overall development.

The forest area is our ‘happy place’ and this week was no exception. We linked our story of the week ‘The Three Little Pigs’ to our outdoor learning and had the best time! We built houses of sticks and made bird feeders using pipe cleaners and cheerios. It was great fun playing ‘1,2,3 where are you?’ and drinking hot chocolate to keep us warm! We cannot wait to plan our next session!
