Hub of Hope

If you need support and just don’t know where to turn to the Hub of Hope website (or App) provides lots of useful information and can signpost you to local support. It also will signpost you if you need immediate help with a list of numbers you can call.

Kooth - Online Support for Young People

Kooth is a web based confidential support service available to young people. Kooth provides a safe and secure means of accessing mental health and wellbeing support designed specifically for young people.

Wallsend Online

Wallsend Online is a ‘one stop shop’ that offers advice, information and entertainment for parents, children, young people and businesses in Wallsend.

There are sections on Online Safety, Parenting, Sports and Games, Play, Youth Work and Wellbeing.

ParentLine

A new text service for parents and carers has been devised by the 0-19 Service. There are two text services available, one staffed by Health Visitors for children aged between 0-5 years and another one staffed by School Nurses for 5-19 year olds.

Every Mind Matters

Most families have experienced upheaval in their daily lives during the pandemic. With children and young people now back at school or college, the new Public Health England (PHE) Better Health – Every Mind Matters campaign provides NHS-endorsed tips and advice to help children and young people’s mental wellbeing, and equip parents and carers with the knowledge to support them.

Barnardo's 'See Hear Respond'

This service has been created to help children and young people in England who are experiencing harm and increased adversity during this period by providing support to those who are not being seen by social care or other key agencies.

See Hear Respond accept referrals from any source either through the Freephone number 0800 151 7015 and via the online referral hub (link below).

Domestic Violence Helpline

We can help and support you if you are experiencing domestic abuse.

Harbour

Harbour works with families and individuals who are affected by abuse from a partner, former partner or other family member.

If you or someone you know is being abused or being abusive to others then use our website to learn about the help which is available.

Grief Encounter

Our mission is to give every child and young person access to the best possible support following the death of someone close.

We work closely with individuals, families, schools and professionals to offer a way through the anxiety, fear and isolation so often caused by grief

Child Bereavement UK

We help children, young people, parents and families to rebuild their lives when a child grieves or when a child dies.
