Hello Year 5!

I hope that you are all safe and well. What have you been up to?

In school this week, we have been put into small groups called ‘bubbles’. I’ve been working with a few Y5 and a few Y6 children (as well as Mrs Carr) and we have had a great week!

In Maths, we’ve been doing some revision of key calculation strategies. In English, we’ve been recapping description and in the afternoons we’ve had fun with Science, Art and PE.

Below, you’ll find all the activities that we have been completing in school for you to have a go at for your home learning. I’ve included a daily timetable to help out with how much you should be doing each day:

Year 5 Home Learning

Maths

Reasoned Rounding

Addition

Factor Bugs

Subtraction

English

Alex Rider Comprehension

Once Upon A Picture

I would LOVE to hear about what you have been up to and I would LOVE you to send me your work to homelearning@stcolumbasprimary.co.uk. You were all making great progress before March, so make sure that you keep up with your learning at home. I know it can be hard to keep up the motivation and learning at home but as long as you are doing a little bit every day, you’ll keep your brains ticking over.

Hope to hear from you soon, take care and we’re missing you lots.

Miss Quinn x
