Goodbye from Miss O’Connor and Mrs Walton

Goodbye from Miss O’Connor and Mrs Walton

Hello everyone,

It has been the strangest of Summer terms and as the school year comes to an end I wanted to write to thank you for your continued support over the last four months. I honestly believed when I said goodbye to you all at the Nursery door in March that we would all be back together again soon! Sadly that wasn’t to be. However, looking back on past photographs that I sent out to you all, we definitely packed in many wonderful memories and lots of wonderful experiences.

Parents/carers, you deserve praise, and lots of it! You will have had fun, happy days, stressful days and days when you felt a huge sense of achievement. The thing that stood out for me most was the creativity that you have all shown, in the activities you have provided for your child! As a Forest School Leader it made my heart very happy to see children growing things, exploring garden’s, outdoor spaces and beaches. I hope that this can continue and we all have a new found love of nature and the benefits of spending time outdoors. I know I certainly have!

On the last day of Nursery we would usually dance, sing and have special treats. I would love you to mark this day at home! Take half an hour out of your day and as a family have a celebration! Celebrate all the hurdles we have all overcome as a school family and look forward to September with excitement!

For the children going into Reception class, Mrs Walton and I send you all the luck in the world. We are only next door and will be popping in to see you all! You will love Mrs Harris and her guitar! For the children staying in Nursery we can’t wait to see you and for you to meet all of your new friends!

Have a wonderful summer and love and best wishes to you all!

Miss O’Connor and Mrs Walton xx

Great Expectations

It’s time to say good-bye
Our year has come to an end.
I’ve made more cherished memories
and many more new friends.

I’ve watched your child learn and grow
and change from day to day.
I hope that all the things we’ve done
Have helped in some small way.

So it’s with happy memories
I send them out the door,
With great hope and expectations
for what next year holds in store.
