Four children in Year 5 led a beautiful liturgy this morning. The theme of their liturgy was sharing with one another.
The children began by gathering the class in a circle and making the sign of the cross, they explained their reasons for choosing this theme.
Next, the four children took it in turns to read a bible story to us – they chose to tell us the story of the 5 loaves and 2 fish.
In response to the reading, the children shared marbles with one another and each returned their marble to the prayer table when they had said a prayer. This was wonderful moment for reflection!
For their mission, the children have asked if we can all think of a way to share with those less fortunate than ourselves. They suggested donating to a food bank or local charity… What else could we do?
Well done Gracie, Jenni, Jayden and Leo!
