Hi Year 5!
How are you all?
My goodness, I can’t believe it is the Summer holidays. Today, I took down your ‘Hopes and Wishes’ balloons from the ceiling beams and it made me think about all the fun activities that we would have usually done at the end of term. Although that did make me a little sad, I’m so glad that we will still be together again in September! I’ve been very busy packing all of our classroom into boxes ready to move into the Y6 classroom… it is very exciting but I really could have done with your help!
Below is our last week of daily activities before the summer. There are a few ideas of things to keep busy with…
If you do NOTHING else over the summer, please, please keep reading. It is SO important! Remember, you can read anything – books, comics, newspapers, cereal packets, the back of a DVD… as long as you keep reading!
I hope that you all have a fantastic summer and come back relaxed, happy and with lots of stories for me about what you have been up to.
I hope you are all excited for a new start, in a new classroom in September. Please don’t sit at home and worry if you have any questions. If you do need me at all, you can still email me at email@example.com and I will get back to you. There are NO silly questions, any question is a sensible one.
Take care, keep smiling.
Sending lots of virtual hugs.
