Y4’s Class Liturgy on the Ascension of the Lord

Y4’s Class Liturgy on the Ascension of the Lord

The time had come for Jesus to say goodbye to his friends and to return to his Father in Heaven.  We used our reflections on these questions below to write the reflective part of our liturgy and response to the Gospel, as well as our closing mission:

Where did Jesus go?   Why did Jesus leave the disciples?  How do you feel when someone you love has to go away?  How do you think the disciples felt?  Jesus told them He would be with them always.  How would He be with them?  What was the job Jesus gave his disciples?  Who does this job today?

Here is the introduction, sorry prayers, Gospel and closing prayer we chose to add to our plan for this collective worship.
