Physalis, Figs, Limes and Kiwis in Year 2…

Physalis, Figs, Limes and Kiwis in Year 2…

In Year 2, we are reading Piranhas Don’t Eat Bananas by Aaron Blabey. The book is very funny and also a little bit cheeky, it’s safe to say it’s already a firm favourite amongst us all.

We have been in regular correspondence via letter with Brian, a vegetarian piranha, who is currently on a fruit-only retreat in Barbados.

Brian asked us what we’ve been up to in Year 2; and we were delighted to pen him a letter all about the different fruits we’ve been trying for the fruit salads we’ve been designing and making as part of our Technology project. Forest School in Nursery

Forest School in Nursery

Forest school is an initiative well known in the UK and is one form of outdoor learning, centered around ‘learning by doing’ to nurture children’s curiosity. Y4 Maths: Making our own Pyramid Nets

In Y4, we have been investigating the angles in triangles.  After lots of practice measuring angles with a protractor, measuring lengths of sides of shapes in cm/mm, and using a template to build our own pyramids, we used all of this maths knowledge and skill to make our own pyramid nets from scratch.  We had…Continue Reading

Science in Nursery

In Nursery, we love to carry out science experiments and find out why or how things happen? We decided to find out how the rain falls from the clouds? We used shaving foam to create a cloud on top of the water. We then dropped food colouring into the cloud. As the cloud filled up,…Continue Reading
