A Musical Visitor!

A Musical Visitor!

On Monday, we welcomed a special visitor to our whole school assembly. Adam is from a company called Front Row Music and he teaches children how to play the ukulele and guitar.

Adam showed us a ukulele, classical guitar and electric guitar. He talked about how the instruments make their sound and the special names we give to each part of the instrument.

Adam asked for some volunteers to help him in the assembly – even the teachers got involved! We played and sang along to popular songs and even had a teachers -v- children air guitar play off! Great fun was had by all!

Adam will be offering group music tuition lessons in ukulele and guitar from September 2018. Please see the information letter that the children brought home on Monday night. If you have any further questions, please don’t hesitate to contact the school office.

We look forward to working with Adam and Front Row music in September!

Only one full week to go before we take our SATs, and we’ve been working hard to learn new facts, and to revise things we’ve been taught throughout KS2.  It hasn’t all been hard slog, though.  We’ve livened things up with quizzes, games and fun activities like the one shown in the pictures below.  We…Continue Reading
