Year 2 at Forest School: Session 2

Year 2 were super excited to be going back to ‘Forest School’ this week! They independently got dressed in record time and were ready to go! This week’s session was based on ‘camouflage.’ The children put camouflage paint on their faces and made camouflage hats. Tree identification books helped Year 2 to identify a holly bush and a crab apple tree.







After all that hard work it was time for a nice cool drink of water and another chapter of the ‘Enchanted Wood.’ I wonder if our forest area has a faraway tree? We shall keep that for next week’s session!

A new term in Nursery

Nursery were very pleased to start a new term with glorious sunshine. Year 2’s Catapult Building

This week Year 2 have been reading the book ‘Eliot the Midnight Superhero’ as part of their Superhero topic. In Creative Curriculum they worked on designing a meteor busting catapult for Eliot. Erasmus Project Meeting Lithuania

Last week Miss Metcalfe, Miss Quinn, Mrs Cowburn, Mrs Weir and Mrs Wallace attended our final project meeting held in Radvilskis in Lithuania.
