2018 week 3 in Y6…26th Jan

A busy and exciting week of maths began with eight of our Y5 and Y6 students taking part in a “Maths for the More Able” series of workshops at New York Primary where we explored (among other things) sequences, factors and prime numbers, 2d shape and tessellations.  Back in class, Y6 completed our work on division with many pupils scoring 100% in the end-of-unit assessment.  Towards the end of the week we enjoyed a couple of practical maths lessons investigating nets, cubes, cuboids and the volume of 3d shapes.  Maths…dull? Pah!
