RE in Y6…The Show Must Go On…week 3…Sep 20th

RE in Y6…The Show Must Go On…week 3…Sep 20th

The pressure was on in Year 6 this week with the demands of staging a word-perfect live public performance in front of an audience of hundreds.  While the creative director was aging visibly and pulling out the remains of his hair, the children, of course, took it all in their stride, making the most of the two afternoons set aside for rehearsals and rising to the occasion on Friday morning, producing a wonderful assembly before an appreciative packed house.  There was some mighty dramatic talent on display (surely worthy of Oscar nominations) as Y6 brought to life The Parable of the Unforgiving Servant and other New Testament stories relating to sorrow and forgiveness.

The song was “Fish & Whistle” by the incomparable John Prine.
