‘Lent’ in Nursery

Lent is a time to grow in love to be more like Jesus and to look forward to Easter. In the Gospel, Matthew makes it clear that in loving and caring for other people we are loving and caring for Jesus. Nursery and Reception gathered together on ‘Ash Wednesday’ to mark the beginning of Lent and to receive their ashes. We discussed the meaning of ‘Lent’ and prayed together for forgiveness.

 

     

Nursery parents and grandparents shared a special moment with the children. They made ‘Lenten’ promises and hung them on our beautiful ‘Lenten Tree.’
